Rules
FMC is open for all composers, musicians, soloists, music groups, instrumentalists, producers, filmmakers, without age and national restrictions. Contestants may compose original music for the animated action short „The Odd One“ or the travel documentary „From Manchester to Liverpool“.
In the separate Audio category, they can submit music suitable for film, television, commercials and video games in mp3 format. The FMC jury, made up of some of the industry’s top names, will select up to 10 finalists in each category. As they do every year, they’ll name an absolute winner and second- and third-place winners.

The Odd One
Chaos ensues when a transport vehicle carrying an odd prisoner gets ambushed by masked vigilantes. Set in the sci-fi world of the supernatural and with the familiar themes of rebellion, resilience, prejudice, innocence, and the meaning of being truly free „The Odd One“ is a short animated sequence to a much bigger story. From Manchester to Liverpool
Following on from the stunning footage from Iceland, we’ve got another travel video story for you this year, shot by our team for all FMC contestants. This time we’re off to England. Join us on a tour from Manchester to Liverpool and take in the sights and sites of the city that is home to the legendary band that is The Beatles.Credits: Travel documentary produced by Gong Art company

DEADLINE DAY
10.4 Deadline day for film scoring categories. This is the last day for your when you can deliver your music for films. Finalist announced 25.5 Up to 10 finalists in each category will be announced. All the Finalists will receive FMC certificate for their achievement in The FMC. Winners 5.6. Winners of all 3 categories will be annoounced
FILMS
Contestants can download the films as soon as they have registered on our website. They will be displayed as described below. Just one click downloads the movie to your computer in high resolution, along with the FMC Upload Guide and YouTube Thumbnail.
Delivery of The Films with your music and Upload:
We’ve put together an FMC Upload Guide for you with all the info and links you need on how and where to deliver the film with your original score. The whole process is really straightforward and quick for you.

Do you offer cash as a competition prize?
Yes, this year we are bringing back a cash prize for all competition categories.
I do not have a PayPal account, can I pay for registration also by credit card?
Yes, you can pay safely with your credit card.
Can I apply even if I am under 18?
Yes, but the application form must be filled in and approved by your parent.
Can I join multiple categories in your contest?
Yes, of course. You can apply for one or more categories.
